Drawing to 3D
You have the drawing on paper and you need the part
Upload the dimensioned drawing of your part (PDF, photo or scan) and we return the 3D model with those exact measurements: an STL for printing and a STEP you can edit in any CAD. Before anything is built, we show you the list of dimensions we understood so you can correct it.
1
Upload your drawings
From 1 to 5 files: PDF, photo or scan. The clearer the dimensions, the better. Before charging you anything, we check the drawing can be read.
2
Confirm the dimensions
We show you the measurements we read (diameters, thicknesses, holes…) in your language. You correct whatever is wrong and confirm. This step is yours.
3
The part is built
With the confirmed dimensions, a parametric CAD program is written and executed. It is not an approximate mesh: if the drawing says 12.5 mm, the hole is 12.5 mm.
4
You get STL and STEP
By email, with three views to check it and a button to request a printing quote instantly.
What makes this service different: the AI does not sketch the 3D by eye. It reads your drawing and writes the program that builds the part, so the dimensions on the drawing are the dimensions of the solid. The result is then measured automatically and compared against what you confirmed.
If you then print the part with us, we discount the cost of this service from your printing order.

We are reading your drawing. It takes a moment: please do not close this page.
What this service does NOT do
- Assemblies of several parts: write to us and we will look at it by hand.
- Free-form surfaces (bodywork, organic shapes): not the territory of this technique.
- Unreadable drawings or drawings without dimensions: we tell you before charging you.
- Manufacturing tolerances (H7, g6…): the nominal dimension is modelled, because FDM printing cannot hold those tolerances.
- We guarantee the 3D matches the dimensions YOU confirmed. If the drawing was wrong, the part will be wrong: that is why the confirmation step is yours.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from turning a photo into 3D?
Completely. A photo gives an approximate mesh, nice but without real measurements. Here the drawing is read and a parametric CAD program is written, so the geometry comes out with the exact dimensions of the drawing and is also delivered as STEP.
What files do I get?
An STL ready to print, a STEP editable in any CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion, FreeCAD…) and three views to check the part at a glance.
What if the AI misreads a dimension?
That is what the confirmation step is for: before anything is built we show you the list of measurements we read so you can correct it. Afterwards, the generated solid is measured and compared against what you confirmed.
What happens if it does not come out right?
The system retries up to three times on its own. If it still does not match, we review it by hand and write to you: either we fix it or we refund you.
Can I print the part with you?
Yes, and we discount the cost of this service from the printing order. The delivery email has a button that loads your part into the quote tool with the discount code already filled in.
Already have the 3D file?
